3 Web Design Tips for an Outstanding Site

With that in mind, here are three features every business website should have. . .

First: a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) page. Think of every question that a visitor to your page might have about your business and your industry. Also think of the common questions you get (in person, on the phone, and in emails) and the aspects of what you do that might be difficult for customers or clients to understand at first glance. Cover all these points thoroughly, and be sure to add links when relevant to other parts of your site that discuss your services more in-depth. Bonus tip: It’s completely okay to have a long FAQ page, but to help keep it navigable and avoid being overwhelming, we recommend structuring it have an index at the top with the questions or general subjects/groupings of the questions so visitors can easily find what they need. Along the same lines, it’s also a good idea to make the responses to the questions collapsible.

Second: An About Us page. This should clearly explain what your business does and how you developed your expertise – but don’t stop there. A well-utilized About Us page is an excellent opportunity to add personality and character to your brand and connect with visitors on a deeper level. Be sure to cover your history, why do you do what you do, and what sets you apart from the crowd.

And third: A Contact Us page. This one is self-explanatory, but be sure it covers the basics: a working phone number, email address, and physical address. These points will also help with your local Search Engine Optimization (SEO) as potential customers within your same city search you online and are able to connect with your business immediately. Bonus tip: If you want to take your “Contact Us” page further, feel free to include other details such as your regular office hours as well as social media details so they can follow you across your platforms and an email signup to any newsletters you might have.

Stay tuned for more tips on how to elevate your website to the next level and make it more competitive in today’s virtual landscape.
